The Board of the Fiji Rugby Union has denied the appeal by Northland Rugby Union against the FRU’s Games Committee ruling which disqualified Northland in the game against Naitasiri on 22nd May 2010 on account of fielding an unregistered player.
The Games Committee had found that the player, Josevata Bola, was at the time still officially registered with Naitasiri. The release that the Northland Rugby Union relied on was, in the board’s opinion, not done correctly
As a result Northland has forfeited the points from this game and Naitasiri is declared the winner.
