Northland Looks to Semis

NORTHLAND needs to lift its performance when the side meets Namosi later today, says head coach Watisoni Ratulevu.

Sitting in seventh spot with four games remaining in the Digicel-sponsored national rugby competition, Ratulevu said his side would have to give it everything they had.

He said with four wins from seven games in the bag, the last four rounds were crucial.

“It could go either way and teams will now be out to stake their claim,” Ratulevu said.

“Every side wants to finish at the top of the table and Northland is no different.

“We have reminded the boys that we cannot afford to lose sight and be complacent.

“Namosi will be hard to beat on home soil and in front of its fans.

“It’s always tough playing teams on their home ground with the backing from its people.

“We have not taken any team lightly in the previous rounds and will not be doing it now.

“Our last game was against Nadroga and they were tough.

“That last clash helped identify areas of weakness that had to be polished ahead of this weekend’s clash.”

Ratulevu said necessary changes have been made ahead of the Namosi match and the side was mentally, physically and spiritually prepared for the game.
