Digicel Fiji 7s coach Iliesa Tanivula has included six new players to the national side to the final leg of the IRB Sevens World Series in London and Edinburgh.
Newcomers include overseas based Randall Kamea, former RKS halfback Henry Seniloli, Wardens Ilai Tinai, Army’s Aisake Katonibau and Nadi duo Turuva Lumelume and Semi Keli.
Retained members of the squad include Captain Seremaia Burotu, Pio Tuwai, Apisa Naiyabo, Watisoni Votu and Etonia Naba.
James Brown has also been recalled to the team. Brown played for the Digicel Fiji 7s team last year and was part of the Fiji U19 World Cup team to Dubai.
Tanivula commented, saying he has confidence in the team and know they can perform and deliver the winning results in England and Scotland.
He added the time is right to focus on younger and more capable players who can represent Fiji in the upcoming IRB 7’s series.
The London 7s will be held from the 22 – 23 May with Fiji heading Pool C with South Africa, Canada and France.
